Barnsley House Wedding: It’s always interesting to hear how how a bride and groom hears about me. Katie and Jonas live in London and their wedding day was to be our first time of meeting each other so when I asked the ‘why me?’ question, Katie said she’s seen my blog highlighting my Top 10 Gloucestershire Wedding Venues and Barnsley House was at number one. They went to see it, fell in love with it and the rest is history as they say. The power of social media…
So you’ll gather I’m rather fond of this place and was especially pleased because the weather gods were with us which meant an outdoor ceremony. Barnsley House has this pretty temple and pond in the gardens which can make for unique photographic opportunities. Katie is also Korean and with most of her family travelling from oversees, it was especially lovely to see the ladies in their traditional costumes and dazzling colours.
There were less than twenty people at this wedding but with all the laughter, tears, gift giving, etc it seemed like many more. Because of the intimacy of the occasion, this was a relatively short day for me but an equally enjoyable one. Katie and Jonas were a charming couple and it really was a pleasure to be a part of their wedding day.
Here is a selection of pictures from the day…
