Northbrook Park wedding: My third Northbrook Park wedding in the space of a month and this time it was for Ali and her fiance, Kris. Ali is the charming owner of Aurora Bride, an award winning bridal shop in Surrey and it was here a number of months back that we first met and Ali introduced me to her gorgeous wedding venue. Roll forward eight months or so and here we are at the wedding!
Although I was now very familiar with the House, surrounding gardens and the wonderful photo opportunities they both provide, I still arrived at the crack of sparrows to see if there were other interesting ways to capture certain key moments and locations. Northbrook Park offers so much choice that it’s an easy trap to fall into to think you can and must get shots everywhere – there simply isn’t the time and the skill is to choose wisely and not spread yourself too wide. The shot in front of the house is an absolute must though and I decided I’d add this to my list for the third time later in the day as you’ll see.
Ali and Kris had already spent time in front of my lens a couple of weeks back in Chiswick Park, West London at their engagement/pre-wedding shoot so I was sure they’d both be pretty relaxed on the day and I was right. Neither of them wanted anything too posed or structured and just wanted me to pick off the best moments throughout the day as I saw fit which is what I do best.
The party was great fun too and lots of opportunities arose to capture friends and family letting their hair down. Ali and Kris had also hired a great singer who sounded more like Michael Buble than Michael Buble and he certainly helped the evening along.
So another lovely day at what is becoming one of my favourite wedding venues. Here is a selection of pictures from the Ali and Kris’s wedding and make sure you look at my other two recent Northbrook Park blogs too to complete the trilogy…
