I remember when this was the plain old Runnymede Hotel but that was then and this is now and the recently extensively overhauled runnymede-on-thames (note the lower case for added chic…) certainly makes for an impressive wedding venue.
One of the few wedding venues where you can arrive by boat, the runnymede-on-thames provides an elegant setting. The outdoor space is not as large of some other riverside Surrey venues although the grass, trees (including a small orchard) behind the hotel alongside the river still provide a pleasant setting for group pictures as well as for candid shots of guests enjoying the day.
The Large Grand Union Suite accommodates up to 250 people for the wedding reception while the smaller Riverside Suite is able to seat 100 for a sit down meal.
The Grand Union Suite has a finishing time of 1pm which may appeal to those who put the evening’s celebrations high up on their wedding priorities list!
Selecting the right person to take your wedding pictures is worth taking time over. Please look at my gallery and decide if my photography style is what you are looking for. If it is and you would like to meet with me at the runnymede-on-thames to have a coffee, look around and talk through your wedding plans, of course I’d be delighted – feeling comfortable and relaxed with your wedding photographer is not to be underestimated if you are to get those ‘wow’ shots on the big day! I’ll also bring along albums of my work just so you can be doubly sure you are choosing the right photographer for your wedding.
