Frome Wedding Photographer: Miranda and James (who I photographed only weeks before on an equally sunny day in Barnes, West London for a pre wedding get together…) had opted for an intimate family setting and were fortunate enough to have Miranda’s mum and dad on hand to ‘hire’ their house to them for their special day. And it is here that the day started getting a few pictures of the pretty garden, bouquets, table settings and the like to before heading off to St Katherine’s Church in East Woodchester to meet James and his team for a few informal pictures prior to the main event. St Katherine’s Church really is one of those churches that wedding photographers hope for when chosen: beautiful tree enclosed setting, gorgeous architecture, uncluttered and car free and enough space in front to capture everything. Perfect.
So after a delightful ceremony (and beautiful, natural light to boot), I kept Miranda and James back for some ‘me’ time so that they would have some lovely pictures of just them, with the church they got married in providing a perfect backdrop. And then it was back to Miranda’s folks house for the rest of the day and what a day it was. People play such in important part in making weddings special and this was certainly one of those occasions. Miranda and James (who were utterly charming and lovely and couldn’t have been nicer if they’d tried!) were so fortunate that everyone seemed to want to make their day special too and there was a real warmth to this occasion that I’ll remember for a while yet. And to go a little off piste for a moment, the catering company who provided, cooked and served the food were brilliant. And yes charming waitress lady, the chocolate brownies were the best I’ve ever tasted…
So here is a small gallery of shots from Miranda and James’ day which I think captures the essence of the occasion perfectly. Hope you like them…
