As a Surrey wedding photographer and someone who grew up in picturesque Richmond upon Thames, I speak with confidence when I say Surrey undoubtedly has some of the most beautiful wedding venues and locations in the UK. Very few counties are able to offers such a diverse mix: Royal parks and palaces, historic castles, famous golf clubs, lavish hotels, boutique country houses and barns are amongst the choices available to make your wedding completely unique and special.
One of the most stylish and architecturally stunning wedding venues I’ve worked at is The Royal Holloway College in Egham. Nestled within over 100 acres acres of glorious parkland and a stone’s throw from Windsor Great Park, the Royal Holloway College offers the perfect wedding package: get married in the ornate College Chapel then enjoy your wedding breakfast in the Picture Gallery amongst fifty million pounds worth of historical paintings! A stunning venue that offers plenty of wonderful wedding photography backdrops, both inside and out.
I’m a real sucker for country house weddings where abundant greenery and gorgeous buildings go hand in hand and Northbrook Park in Farnham is just about as nice as things get on this score.

Mature trees, lakes, immaculate manicured gardens and the house itself make it almost impossible to choose where to take the best pictures because the choice is that wide. With three weddings in three weeks coming up at Northbrook Park (March 2013 at the time of writing…), I’m thoroughly looking forward to the experience.
The river Thames is a key feature of the Surrey landscape and the Lensbury Club in Teddington is fortunate enough to have it at the bottom of its ‘garden’! The Lensbury Club is a former country club and now manages to seamlessly combine its original architecture with fresh, contemporary design. I enjoy photographing weddings here because it offers a lot within a relatively small area: it isn’t a sprawling country pile but it has wonderful gardens and the river which look great in any picture.
